This Black Bear Skull has been professionally cleaned and the bone is in good condition. Natural finish. It is missing one premolar, and two other premolars were either lost or pulled. There is a crack in the condyle of the left lower jaw, but the jaw is still sturdy. The left rear of the cranium was damaged, and is missing the back half of the zygomatic arch, as well as the joint where the lower jaw would attach. The occipital condyle is partially cut on that side. Natural wear on most teeth indicates this was a mature animal. Displays well despite the damage.
